It is a thing of beauty when form meets function and it is a lot of fun, too!
No one knows this better than Juliet, our EDrive office manager, who has a background in fine arts.
She recently taught a series of lunchtime art classes for the EDrive team covering art basics like complementary colors and drawing objects in elevation.
Students were encouraged to think outside the box and to add personal touches to their finished art. (Can you find the Harley Davidson and Volkswagen symbols?)
"When we started the project I hoped the student's art experience would serve as stress relief from the typical workday and boost their confidence in their creative abilities", she said.
Everyone had a great time and learned a little more about art.
"Art can be therapeutic", said Juliet, " and this project was successful in helping the participants forget about their stress/worries while they painted their interpretation of 'Actuators as a Still Life.' "
The paintings are displayed together in the office lobby and act as a colorful conversation piece for the EDrive team and for visitors.
The results speak for themselves.
